New Feature: Bulk Applicant Messaging
Easily reach multiple candidates at once with bulk applicant messaging in Team Engine. Save time, keep talent engaged, and fill roles faster with mass outreach.

Communicate with More Than One Applicant at Once
Team Engine users can now bulk send a message to multiple recipients at once to communicate about jobs en masse, such as when new jobs are opening. This not only saves time in candidate outreach, it also gives you a head start on filling the role by directly marketing it to your saved applicant pool.
With this new functionality, you can jumpstart hiring as soon as a job reopens by instantly messaging all your saved applicants—no need to start from scratch. It also simplifies other common workflows, like notifying applicants when a role has been filled or letting them know their application will be kept on file for future opportunities.
Examples of When to Send Mass Text Messages to Candidates
It’s a recruiting best practice to create your own saved applicant pools to nurture over time.
When you’re actively hiring, you may get more qualified applicants than you have open positions for. Team Engine allows you to save these applicants so that you can reach out to them with future opportunities. With this new ability to reach multiple candidates at once, you might reach out to your saved applicant pool when:
- Encouraging previously interested candidates to reapply – If a candidate made it far in the hiring process but wasn't selected, you can invite them to apply again for a new or similar opportunity.
- Announcing hiring events or job fairs – Let past applicants know when you're hosting open interviews, career fairs, or hiring events.
- Following up with candidates who never responded – If an applicant stopped responding after an initial conversation, a bulk message can re-engage them when new roles open.
- Reaching out to seasonal workers for rehire – If your company has seasonal hiring needs, you can quickly notify past employees or applicants about rejoining the team.
- Updating candidates about hiring timeline changes – If there’s a delay in hiring, sending bulk text messages to candidates keeps applicants informed and engaged.
- Requesting updated contact information or availability – Some applicants may have changed their phone numbers, email addresses, or work availability since they last applied.
- Sharing company updates or new incentives – If your company has introduced higher wages, new benefits, or referral bonuses, you can send mass text messages to candidates to renew their interest.
- Notifying applicants when their application is still under review – Prevent drop-off by sending a quick update that the hiring process is still ongoing.
- Offering alternative positions – If a candidate wasn’t selected for one job, but you have another open role that might be a better fit, you can invite them to apply.
How To Bulk Send a Message to Multiple Applicants in Team Engine
For Applicants in Needs Review or In Progress
- Using the left menu, click Applicants.
- Click the hiring stage for the applicants you’d like to message.
- Select the applicants you’d like to message by checking the box to the left of their application tab. Select applicants one by one, or select all by navigating to the top of your list and clicking Select All Applicants.
- As you select applicants, the option to Send Message will appear at the bottom of your screen; click it when you’re ready to proceed with message composition.
For Saved Applicants:
- From any page in the software, click the magnifying glass icon in the top row menu, then click the arrow that appears in the search bar.
- Using the filtering options at the top, click “All Statuses”, and select “Saved” from the drop-down menu.
- Select all by checking the box next to “First Name”, or select applicants individually by checking the box to the left of their name.
- As you select applicants, the option to Send Message will appear at the bottom of your screen; click it when you’re ready to proceed with message composition.
Coming Soon: Bulk Status Updates
Soon, you’ll also be able to bulk-select applicants to update their status in one action. This will make it faster and easier to move candidates through the hiring process, keeping your saved and rejected applicant pools organized with just a few clicks.

Can you automate bulk messaging?
At this time, bulk messaging for applicants cannot be automated.
Will recipients of bulk messaging see others’ replies?
No, candidates always receive individual texts. They are not texted as a group and cannot see each others' numbers, messages, or responses.
Can I personalize bulk messages with candidate names or other details?
Absolutely! Find the Personalize button within your message text box to auto-fill applicant names, job titles, user names, company name, and more,
Does Bulk Applicant Messaging work for both text and email?
Yes, you can send applicant messages en masse both via text message and email.
Can I schedule bulk messages to send at a later time?
Yes! Simply choose the dropdown menu next to Send Message, and schedule your message for a future date and time.
Can I filter my applicant pool before sending a bulk message?
You can filter your applicant pool by application score, source, or auto-screened job requirements to make sure you’re messaging only the people you need to.
