New Team Engine features that improve hiring efficiency include applicant star rankings, custom rejection reasons, a “send now” option for automations & more.
At Team Engine, we prioritize customer feedback, and many of our recent improvements stem from insights shared by users like you. Our goal is to streamline and improve the hiring process to make it faster, easier, and more effective for you and your team. Following the launch of new messaging features like WhatsApp integration and recurring scheduled messages, we’ve focused our development efforts on tools to optimize hiring. Here’s a rundown of our latest enhancements and how they solve specific hiring challenges.
Candidate Star Ranking System
Reviewing large applicant pools can be a challenge, especially when it’s unclear who on your team has assessed each candidate. With the new star ranking system, you can now assign 1-5 stars to applicants in the “needs review” stage. This feature allows users to sort candidates by ranking, making it easy to prioritize top candidates. Additionally, we show who assigned each rating, giving your team clear visibility into candidate reviews across the process.
Custom Rejection Reasons
Tracking rejection data accurately is essential for understanding why candidates don’t make it through the process. Our new feature lets you create specific, reusable rejection reasons tailored to each job, ensuring standardized data entry. This update minimizes the need for manual input and enhances your insights into recruiting outcomes.
“Send Now” Option for Status Change Automations
Sometimes, an immediate status update is crucial to keep the hiring process moving. Our new “Send Now” button offers the flexibility to send automated status updates, giving you full control over when applicants are notified. This option helps you communicate efficiently and reduce time to hire, keeping candidates engaged and moving smoothly through each hiring stage.
Block Communication with an Applicant
Certain applicants may need to be restricted from further communication, whether due to inappropriate messaging or repeatedly applying to different roles after rejection. To help manage these situations, we added a blocking feature that prevents incoming messages from specific applicants and restricts them from reapplying. This tool enables your team to focus on engaged candidates without disruptions.
Mass Rejection Messages for Applicants
When hiring stops for a job, notifying all applicants can be time-consuming, and leaving applicants without an update risks creating a negative impression of your employer brand. Now, when a job status changes to “Not Currently Hiring” or “Archived,” you can send mass notifications to applicants, closing the loop and providing transparency without the need to reach out individually.
Print Capability for Applicant Information
We’ve added a printing option in Team Engine to complement our digital sharing functionality. This new button lets you print applicant information in a clear, streamlined format. While we always recommend using email for sharing applicant information, this feature makes it easy to print records when needed.
