Validate Skill Training in the Field
When a new hire is fully trained and released to work independently in the field, their work needs to be checked in the field to verify that they are properly trained and able to safely and correctly complete the task.
How you might currently be doing this
- Conduct training in person OR via online training module/videos
- Send new employee to jobsite
- Safety Manager visits job site to observe new hire on the job
- Safety Manager reports to Crew Manager that new hire is approved to conduct work unsupervised
Why Use Team Engine Instead
Efficiency: It’s more efficient use of the Safety Manager’s time to verify training from their desk, rather than visiting different job sites to verify each individual’s training.
Documentation: The Safety Manager doesn’t have to update any files, since the photos or videos they send are automatically attached to their profile in the employee directory.
How you can use Team Engine to do this
- Upload a list of recently trained employees into Team Engine.
- Send a text asking employees to send verification of them doing a certain task. (See sample text provided in the copy-and-paste box.)
- Employee’s manager takes a photo/video of them working, or of their finished work.
- Manager or employee texts it to the Safety Manager.
- Safety Manager verifies training from their desk (via Team Engine).
